Damond Motorsports Oil Catch Can kits come with everything needed for an optimized Oil Catch Can system. An oil catch can is, in a sense, a filter for the positive crankcase ventilation system. The oil catch can(OCC for short) is used to tap and contain blow-by oils and condensed crankcase gases, that would otherwise flow through the PCV system back into the intake tract, and allows for draining of these fluids remotely. With the addition of an OCC kit, blow-by oils and gasses are routed to the OCC allowing them to be captured. This prevents the blow-by from entering the intake system, where it would otherwise contaminate the clean air entering the engine. Cleaner air leads to better combustion, more power, better fuel economy, less detonation, and less oily build-up.

Each OCC kit includes a check valve, to prevent boost from possibly entering the crankcase, via the prone to leaking OEM PCV valve. The check valve allows for a 1-way operation of the OCC system, keeping everything under vacuum, to better help vent the crankcase.

The DM OCC features:
-Fully welded external aluminum structure. Welded on ports for a nice clean look, and to keep weight at a minimum. 
-Layers and layers and layers of perforated baffle plates, allowing a large surface area for blow-by vapors to latch onto and keep the intake tract clean. The bottom layer features an oil scraper. Blow-by is forced directly onto the scraper, while the air is pushed around the sides of the can to the back of the lower chamber. The air is then drawn up diagonally through 3 more perforated plates, before it exits the top chamber. 
-A super easy to use high flowing drain valve(drain plug on the MS6 location 1 kits). 
-Optional DM partial VTA valve and filter OCC set-up(recommended for high boost applications, not compatible with location 1 kits). 
-Powder coated for enhanced durability.
 
With all Damond Motorsports OCC kits, you have many options. For the Mazdaspeeds there are different mounting locations. This way you can pick the location that works best for you, and your vehicle’s pre-existing modifications. You also have the choice of 3 different possible hose colors: Black, Blue, and Red.

Product Details

The Damond Motorsports Stage 2 Oil Catch Can Kits are an optimal upgrade to an existing Stage 1 OCC kit. The DM Stage 2 OCC kits are intended for customers running a Stage 1 OCC kit, and who are looking to further reduce crankcase pressure, blow by from the valve cover PCV port, or both. With the Stage 2 OCC kits there are a variety of PCV routing options you can choose from, to pick which option will best suit your engine's PCV needs.

In these diagrams, the routing for the Stage 1 OCC kit is in black and the Stage 2 OCC kit is in green. Routes 2 & 3 require a PCV plate, the Damond Motorsports PCV plate is available here. Recommended for: Stock turbo cars, smaller big turbo cars

Damond Motorsport Oil Catch Can VTA Option (DMMVTA)

Product Details

This allows the Damond Motorsports OCC to vent pressure when excess pressure is present in the crankcase. This option contains a VTA breather filter and check valve. The check valve allows one way flow of pressure out of the can, while the filter keeps debris away from the check valve. The filters are completely washable and re-usable.

The Damond Motorsports VTA option is perfect for high boosting K04's, BNR's, and other bigger turbo options.  

Note: Not compatible with MS6 OCC Stage 1 Location 1, and Focus ST Stage 1 Location 1 OCC kits.

      Every DM Stage 1 OCC kit includes a check valve(at no additional cost), to prevent boost from possibly entering the crankcase, via the prone to leaking OEM PCV valve. The check valve allows for a 1-way operation of the OCC system, keeping everything under vacuum, to better help vent the crankcase, and keep unwanted pressure and blow-by from exiting the valve cover port. 
        
      The DM Stage 1 OCC kit connects into the intake manifold/PCV valve hose connection. Most oily blow-by contaminates travel this path from boost into vacuum transitions, where crankcase pressure has the potential to be greater, then the system immediately turns to a slight vacuum. This causes a fine oily mist that would otherwise flow into the intake manifold. With the DM Stage 1 OCC kit in place, the hoses route the blow-by to the OCC, where they can be filtered and cleaner air is sent back into the manifold. In turn the primary benefits are: cleaner air mixture, and less oily build-up on the valves and in the intake manifold.

      The Damond Motorsports Rear Motor Mount is a must have for any car enthusiast seeking to plant power more directly to the pavement.  Taking what we’ve learned on the Mazdaspeed3 platform, we have successfully integrated our formidable rear motor mount design over to the Focus ST.   While material was removed to allow fitment on the Focus ST, we validated the strength of the newly designed mount with FEA analysis and track testing. 

      If you're looking for a no compromise rear motor mount that will drastically reduce wheel hop and engine movement, improve shifting and clutch pedal feel, this is the mount for you.

      The Damond Motorsports RMM starts life as a solid chunk of alloyed aluminum.  Once it’s machined to size we add a pair of off the shelf bushings sourced from the market leader of polyurethane bushings.  These bushings are arranged so they only see compressive loads, as they are designed for. No twisting, no bending, and no edge loading mean that the bushings will have a long and productive life. 

       

      Available in Black or Gold anodize with Black or Red bushings.  Included are high grade fasteners.

      What does the Damond Motorsports PCV Plate do, and what does it offer?

      The PCV plate is a fully machined replacement of the factory PCV oil separator plate, with a port machined to accept an OEM Mazda PCV valve and o-ring, as well as two additional large -10 ports, thus allowing you to run a variety of PCV and OCC set-ups. With this latest version we have added a baffle plate to help reduce the amount of blow-by out of the PCV plate. 

      Incorporating a PCV valve port onto our plate means you are able to maintain the correct amount of vacuum on the crankcase, under all engine vacuum conditions. With the additional ports, you’re now able to easily and cleanly run dual OCC set-ups in whatever configuration that suits your car best to relieve excess crankcase pressure. The PCV valve is held into the the DM PCV plate with a retaining ring, allowing for easier install and removal of the valve.

      Mazda Damond Motorsports Turbo Oil Restrictor Banjo Bolt (DMMTORBB)

      Product Details

      The Damond Motorsports Turbo Oil Restrictor Bolt, reduces the oil feed to the factory K04 turbo, to help in preventing the common Mazdaspeed "smokey-turbo." Using proven and tested hole diameters, the Damond Motorsports bolt allows proper oil feed to the factory K04 turbo, without over-oiling the turbo, and prevents oil seeping past the turbo seals into the exhaust. In addition 2 new OEM spec copper crush washers are included. This is a great, low-cost component, if you're looking to add a catless or more free flowing exhaust that would potentially result in more exhaust smoke.

      Mazdaspeed Damond Motorsports Short Shift Plate (MSSSP)

      Product Details

      The Damond Morotsports Short Shifter Plate(SSP), is a great way to shorten the shifter throw on your Mazdaspeed3 and Mazdaspeed6.

      The Damond Motorsports SSP works by moving the ball on which the shifter cable is mounted closer to the input selector fork, thus reducing the throw of the shifts. The shifter itself retains the factory height. The SSP attaches to the transmission shifter assembly in a slide over and under fashion, and is locked into place with the included hardware. The hardware supplied allows the SSP to be installed with or without the factory shift weight.

      We have spent much time in the development of our SSP to provide a great feeling shifter without the risk of any binding of components. Our SSP was designed to offer the absolute most in reduction without the shifter cable boots rubbing against the shifter assembly. The overall goal was shift feel where reduction came second. Our SSP's do not use any standoffs and do not drastically raise the shifter ball assembly, both of which that could result in binding or damage to the shift cables or improper shifter feel. The Damond Motorsports SSP's are machined out of aircraft grade aluminum for strength, and to keep less weight on the shifter assembly.

      Mazdaspeed3 Damond Motorsports Drag Brake Kit

      We're excited to release this lightweight brake system upgrade, which has been tested on some of the quickest most powerful Mazdaspeed3's.  Featuring Wilwood components, an industry leader in performance brake kits and technologies, this kit will take the repeated abuse of hard high speed stops.  Designed originally to be a brake kit for drag racing, the Damond Motorsports Mazdaspeed3 Drag Brake Kit can be customized to meet your application needs.  

      Kit features/specifications: 

      • Wilwood Forged Dynalite 4-piston Calipers, available in grey anodize, or red or black powder-coat
      • Total weight savings of 45 lbs! Above 50 lbs with the optional scalloped rotors!
      • Damond Motorsports clear anodized 7075 aluminum mounting brackets
      • Wilwood Aluminum rotor hats, machined to fit the large center bore of the Mazdaspeed3

        The Damond Motorsports Full Motor Mount Set for the Mazdaspeed6 is here! Get your car fully mounted with our specially designed mounts that hold the motor solidly in place while adding only minimal levels NVH.  

        The Damond Motorsports RMM/PMM/TMM design:
        -The bushings are orientated properly to support the motor and absorb vibrations across the whole bushing.

        Mazdaspeed6 Damond Motorsports Large Power Steering Cooler Kit (DM6PSS2)

        Product Details

        The Damond Motorsports Power Steering Cooler Kit, for the 06-07 Mazdaspeed6, is ideal for lowering power steering temperatures on the track and the street. Our Power Steering Cooler Kits utilize a stacked plate cooler design, over a tube and fin design. The stacked plate cooler design can provide more effective cooling with a smaller sized cooler, and it is more durable, compared to tube and fin design coolers. During our testing, on a smaller cooler (50% less surface area than the coolers in the kits), we achieved 15-25% cooler fluid temperatures, depending on the air flow to the cooler. 

        Our power steering cooler kits are complete kits, and we include everything needed to install the cooler. The cooler itself is mounted in the same location as the factory hardline, and hot air is pulled from the wheel well shroud. Fog light shroud can be modified to provide more air flow to the cooler. The factory hardline tends to leak around the cooling fins, making the DM PS cooler kit a low cost alternative, for a factory hardline replacement.

        Mazdaspeed6 Damond Motorsports Rear Motor Mount (MS6RMM)

        Product Details

        The Damond Motorsports Rear Motor Mount for the Mazdaspeed6 was designed to drastically reduce engine movement, take anything your MS6 can throw at it, all while keeping added NVH minimized. 
         
        This RMM starts life as a solid stout chunk of alloyed aluminum. Once it’s machined to size we add two pairs of off the shelf bushings sourced from the market leader of polyurethane bushings. The bushing pairs themselves are specified at different durometers, allowing both high and low frequency vibrations to be absorbed, throughout the entire RPM range. The sleeves housed in each bushing pair are the appropriate length for optimal fitment on the Mazdaspeed6. This means no cutting out the rear tabs in the subframe, and no bending of the triangle support bracket that fixes the mount to the transmission. 
        Available in Black anodize with Black or Red bushings, and free shipping in the US!
         
        With this mount there will be added NVH over stock, as well as a slight break-in period for NVH to settle.
